Lishuani, was one of the first Wesleyan Mission stations during 1833-1853. The Mission house was situated among great rocks, at the foot of a sandstone cliff. Lishuani meaning place of bright waters now known as Groenkloof.
Janneman and Karin Botha became the new owners of Groenkfool/Lishuani in 2005. Groenkloof is situated at the foot of the “Viervoet berg”. It is a working farm with cattle and maize. Janneman has a love for preserving old and converting it into somethin new but keeping the heritage alive. In 2020 the “Isreal” shed was transformed into an idyllic wedding venue. Long dreamt dreams were made a reality with the wedding of their oldest daugter. This was the start of Groenkloof gasteplaas’s wedding venue.
Groenkloof offers a wide variety of adventures (4×4-, mountain bike-, quad bike routes, trail running, fishing) and these days a wedding and function venue as well.
